Take a look at our Katahdins. We love talking sheep!

Raising happy, healthy, hearty Katahdin and Katahdin Dorper cross sheep with the land in a primarily grass-based system in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Raising sheep is a fun and enjoyable hobby. Our animals are raised using a hybrid pasture system without a dependence on expensive commercial products or inputs into their care. We care for them in a more natural way that works with the land. This produces top quality animals that are happy, healthy, have higher parasite resistance, and cost less to care for and manage. Our animals are larger framed. Both our Katahdins and our crossess range in adult weight from 130lbs to approx 160lbs.

We are proud to offer for sale high quality, easy care, low input cost animals at reasonable prices.  Our animals are on pasture throughout the year. When pasture is not available they are suplimented with quality early first cutting hay and or clover based hay. Our animals do well on pasture.   We continue to improve the grass genetics  of our flock. We accomplish this by improving our pastures through regenerative agriculture methods and by removing grain from our animals diet. Grain was a tiny part of the animals diet. Grain has been replaced by a clover base hay.  Our flock is also genetically diverse. All of our rams that have been used for breeding and that we currently use are unrelated. This takes advantage of hybrid vigor allowing our lambs the ability to grow faster and reach their full potential.
We do sell adult animals that do not rise to our higher performance standards when we have them. These are still high quality animals, they just are not performing at the same higher level as their flock mates. It's not to say that in someone else's program they wouldn't perform well. They likely would be a fantastic addition to someone's flock or great starter animals. Pricing on these animals varies, contact us for pricing and availability of these animals.
